Building refurbishment is a trend
There is much talk about the demographic change in the media. This means that the proportion of older people in our country is increasing. But what does this mean for the construction sector?
On the one hand, in the case of a declining total population less and less living space is required in the long term. This leads to vacancies of houses and apartments with good building fabric. These can be rehabilitated comparatively favorably and brought to the latest state in heat insulation, electrics and heating. In this way, the value of such an immovable property can easily be multiplied.
On the other hand, the rise in the average age of the population will lead to completely new challenges in domestic living. Barrier-free housing and residential communities are only two keywords which will become increasingly important in the future. Here too, the residential situation can be adapted to the changing needs by means of planned refurbishment and reconstruction.
